JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is located in Saginaw, MI. For the right candidate, we offer a generous relocation package.
We are looking for candidates who have a good understanding of project coordination for embedded software applications. The candidate must have the ability to actively plan, execute, monitor and control the project throughout the Software development lifecycle. This position supports the efforts of the Project Management department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project planning and coordination activities
  • Tracking the current status of project schedules
  • Anomalies tracking and resolution using change management methodologies
  • Project status dashboard preparation and reporting
  • Communication and co-ordination of project activities within and outside of team
  • Actively help the Program management team to develop an organization level portfolio management strategy

Job Requirements:

  • 2 years of automotive industry experience and minimum 1 year of project coordination activities.
  • Exhibits leadership qualities and good negotiation skills.
  • Exhibits good communication and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and practitioners towards successful process implementation and improvements.
  • Good understanding of software development techniques and methodologies.
  • Good understanding of formal configuration management tools.
  • Good understanding and experience of product development lifecycles.
  • Good understanding and experience of project, process and quality metrics.

Preferred:

  • Experience in software development for embedded systems is added advantage.
  • Experience of working in Automotive SPICE and/or CMMI Level 3 processes is preferred.
  • Capability to provide pragmatic process solutions.
  • Ability to resolve any process issues or disputes.
  • Knowledge on usage of process, project, and engineering management tools.
  • Understanding of embedded software development using C and assembly language.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree, any major (Required)

Bachelor - Electrical Engineer/Computer Engineer/Business (Preferred)
