The Integrated Communications Lead is responsible for a communications strategy across stakeholders that builds BMO’s differentiation in the industry through content and programming that helps our customers make real financial progress.

Job Description

  • Provide strategic communication counsel and support to senior leadership to build the broader brand and reputation of BMO’s Personal and Business Banking offerings.
  • Work across communications, media relations, marketing and business leaders to develop thought leadership platforms and content across channels in support of the business strategy and performance goals.
  • Develop plans aimed at helping audiences improve financial security.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to profile our offerings and customer successes in alignment with what differentiates BMO and aligns to our client segment strategy.
  • Work with senior executives to develop innovative pieces that stand-out.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders to understand business objectives, identify opportunities and maximize results.
  • Support our high-performance culture and continuous improvement.
  • Measure success through feedback, analytics and competitive benchmarking.
  • Monitor and track feedback and social channels to proactively respond to issues.
  • Work in compliance with regulatory policies, digital and brand guidelines, and update standards and processes as required to mitigate risk and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience and preferred post-secondary degree in business, communications or marketing
  • Strategic thinker with strong consultancy skills, able to partner and advise c-suite executives
  • Proactive, goal-driven and collaborative team member
  • Experience driving positioning
  • Relevant experience working in journalism, communication or integrated marketing
  • Expert writing and editing in a variety of formats, including speeches, panels, bylines, social media
  • Fluent in English, Spanish or French an asset
