Meta’s Content Policy team is looking for an analytical thinker with experience in consulting, business operations, project management, and policy development to join the Policy Development team. The team’s mission is to drive the process to create and communicate rules for our products and design mechanisms and framework that provide greater transparency on Meta’s policies and its approach to fostering a safe environment on the platform. In this role, you will be responsible for driving initiatives that focus on creating transparency, facilitate the policy development and implementation process, and partner with cross functional teams such as Product, Operations, Communication, and Legal to communicate and solicit feedback on our policies and processes. The ideal candidate will be able to critically analyze the tradeoffs and benefits of refinements to Meta’s policies and processes and communicate these issues effectively. Successful candidates will be intellectually curious, able to function in a fast-paced environment, and manage an array of short to long term projects. You will be an outstanding listener who enjoys meeting new people regularly. You should be passionate about the services we provide, the people that we serve, and the impact of policy on those services.

Required SkillsPublic Policy Associate Manager, Policy Development Responsibilities:
  • Help craft and implement transparency measures on Content Policies
  • Act as a global point of contact for high priority escalations and manage internal communications for policy issues
  • Collaborate and build relationships with policy, product, communications, and legal to drive policy development improvements and facilitate policy implementation
  • Help articulate policy philosophy and changes to relevant parties, including leadership, management, operations, and other internal stakeholders
Minumum QualificationMinimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, political science, law, business or related field
  • 5+ years of work experience in consulting, policy enforcement, public policy, communications, law, or business
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated organizational experience and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated analytical-thinking and problem-solving experience
Preferred QualificationPreferred Qualifications:
  • Project management or consulting experience
  • Understanding of Meta products and principles
  • Experience working at a tech company
