Analyst, Mergers & Acquisitions
The newly-formed Capital One M&A Group advises corporate and financial clients on strategic transactions. The team originates and executes M&A transactions across industry verticals with deal flow originating largely from Capital One’s existing commercial banking client base. The M&A Group is looking for an M&A Analyst to join our team in New York.
General responsibilities include
Executing and supporting the origination of M&A transactions including private and public sell-sides, buy-sides, corporate divestitures, etc.
Building and maintaining complex financial/ valuation models including DCF, accretion/ dilution, LBO, comparable trading and transactions analysis
Drafting pitch books, selling memorandum and management presentations
Communicating and interacting with industry partners and commercial banking as well as with clients and other external parties
Managing multiple projects at once and working effectively as part of a team
At least 1 year of investment banking experience or private equity experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics or accounting
2+ years of investment banking experience
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Team focus with strong work ethic
Superior written and oral presentation skills
Experience in an entrepreneur growth-oriented environment
