Department OverviewThe employer brand manager will sit within the employee communications team, part of the Global Communications and Brand team - the voice of Motorola Solutions that tells the company’s story to current and future employees, reporters and other stakeholders. The employer brand manager will engage with Motorolans throughout the company to bring our employee value proposition to life, maintaining an especially close partnership with Human Resources and our Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Job Description

The employer brand manager will develop and drive the strategy to bring our employee value proposition to life, with an emphasis on recruiting and retaining the best and brightest talent.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Craft and help inform brand messaging that connects current and prospective Motorolans to our company purpose and values.

  • Support creative campaigns that highlight our innovative culture and people, for both internal and external use. These may include both print and digital marketing materials as well as written stories, video and social media campaigns.

  • Work collaboratively with our talent acquisition team to develop a world-class recruitment strategy. This may include university outreach, support for career fairs, development of marketing materials and examining back-end processes to ensure an optimal candidate experience.

  • Partner with Human Resources to amplify the company’s rewards, benefits, learning and career growth opportunities.

  • Partner with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) to help implement the company’s DEI strategy and ensure that our hiring practices and culture reflect our values.

  • Identify improvements throughout the lifecycle of a Motorolan, from the application and hiring process to onboarding, 90 days, the first year and beyond.

  • Leverage data, analytics and employee feedback to inform the strategy for bringing our EVP to life and engage key stakeholders with regular updates on progress and milestones achieved.

Specific Knowledge and Skills

  • A self-starter with a creative bend, the ability to think outside the box and the drive to energize others to do the same

  • Experience defining strategy and program requirements and using data-driven insights to guide decisions

  • Experience leading deeply collaborative, strategic partnerships with various stakeholders and influencing at all levels of the organization

  • Strong judgment and the ability to make decisions independently

  • Serious commitment to excellence, quality and attention to detail

  • Experience translating complex information into compelling stories and/or visual materials

  • High attention to detail with strong project management skills

  • Excellent storytelling abilities, written communication skills and presentation skills

  • Graphics/design/creative experience a plus

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience
