The Work

You will be solving deep technical problems and building creative solutions in a dynamic environment leading knowledgeable and passionate SDE's. You are experienced building for the cloud – designing for five 9s, globally distributed all-active deployments, horizontal scalability, fault tolerance, and more. You are motivated by learning, evaluating, and deploying new technologies. Our services are deployed in an Amazon Web Services environment, and so you will be working hands on with many AWS components. You thrive in true-agile, highly paced, production facing environment. You have a low tolerance for mediocrity. You love to write code and build extraordinary things.

The Accenture MDR Engineering team is not consulting or client-facing. We push the cutting edge in AWS – daily – to be able grow our platform to support the ever-growing security landscape to protect Accenture’s clients. Our technical leaders in MDR Engineering lead by “doing” and work collaboratively with a geographically diverse set of teams by setting and maintaining a high bar for quality software delivery and attacking any technical challenges!

Data analysis is one thing, can you help us do it at “petabytes” scale?

This role focuses on leading multiple scrum teams through designing, developing, releasing, and maintaining Accenture MDR’s big data & analytics platform. You achieve this by collaborating with the Chief Architect and other Technical Directors throughout the global organization to support projects/initiatives related to data acquisition, processing, and utilization through our enterprise big data platform in AWS – at scale!

We are looking for coders, people who love to code, just like we do! You should be energetic, confident, and ready to contribute in many areas of the software development lifecycle. You may be involved in all the aspects from research, design, specs, coding, and bug fixing. Our team focus is on writing dependable code and getting high quality products and services to market as quick as possible.

For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need

  • Minimum 5 years hands on experience with Big data technologies (including Spark, Storm and/or EMR) at scale

  • Minimum 5 years of recent, hands-on, experience building upon AWS cloud native services using EC2, S3, ECS, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda, etc.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with `infrastructure as code` IAC and using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with CICD pipelines (i.e. Jenkins) with building and/or configuring pipelines for build and deployment of software.

  • Minimum 8 years coding knowledge and experience with Java and/or C# .NET and object oriented methodologies

  • Minimum 6 years of leading software design and architecture for large scale data platforms and contributing within, software engineering team delivery

  • Minimum 2 years experience of writing scripts in Python, PowerShell or Bash

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act,Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
