Department OverviewThe North America channel marketing team creates and oversees execution of marketing plans and programs for channel go-to-market initiatives within the Professional, Federal, MR, Commercial, Business as well as Consumer Radio partner community. The team oversees regional channel go-to-market strategy, channel communications, MDF/Coop partner program development and enablement/development of programs and tools to drive partner loyalty, and help drive revenue growth as well as increased profitability for MSI and our indirect channel partners.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
The North America Channel Communications Manager collaborates with everyone from subject matter experts (SMEs) to senior leadership on the indirect sales, go-to-market, channel operations, channel marketing, and solutions and vertical marketing teams to effectively communicate key sales, product, program, marketing and business operations information to our indirect channel partners and Motorola commercial sales organization. Key information may include details on new product launches, price changes, sales enablement tools, channel programs, promotions and incentives, and more. This position is a remote opportunity.
Develop, manage and execute tactical communications plans and calendars for channel webinars, newsletters, emails (eDMs), sales leadership channel town halls, video messages, podcasts, and any other vehicles of communications deemed necessary
Oversee and continuously improve the communications request process and forms used to solicit relevant and timely topics and content
Create messaging and new content, write copy, manage distribution lists, and deliver final communications via the appropriate channel communications mediums
Leverage Eloqua or other internal marketing automation tools to develop and deliver communications to the channel
Serve as subject matter expert for best practices on channel communications including which mediums to use, timing/frequency to launch, and positioning of content
Act as copy editor for high visibility channel communications and marketing materials; proofread final documents from content owners to ensure brand compliance and readiness
Collaborate with the design team to develop compelling presentations, banners, templates, etc. to amplify communications and messaging
Define and execute placement of all information communicated to the channel with the goal of making content easily accessible on our partner portals and intranet sites
Perform basic technical functions, troubleshooting and coding that enables the sending of communications and uploading of content to marketing tools/sites
Measure and report out on performance of communications to channel sales and marketing leadership
Coordinate with all regions and relevant Motorola Solutions subsidiaries to share and leverage information and content as needed
Innovate new communication mediums and assess existing processes, communication channels, and tools to maximize partner mindshare and awareness of channel communication content
Manage relationships and negotiate scope of work and costs with outsourced communications agencies
Manage allotted project budgets

Bachelor's Degree with focus on marketing, communications or related field
3+ years of marketing experience
B2B experience preferred
Self-starter who quickly and proactively solves challenges with minimum guidance and direction
Project manager with the ability to work on multiple projects with various deadlines at once
Strong presentation skills to large groups as well as executive audiences
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with, influence and rally support from various organizational levels and cross-functional team members
Thrive in fast-paced work environments
Advanced writing, storytelling and message development skills
Proficient in copy editing with attention to detail
Tech savvy, working knowledge of basic html
Knowledge of channel structure, channel marketing, channel incentives, programs, and tools
3+ years of marketing experience
