Principal Associate, Technology RiskAs a Principal Associate in Capital One’s Enterprise Services Risk Office, you will apply your analytical and delivery skills to our highest profile Risk Management projects. You will partner across ES to develop and support cutting-edge Risk solutions in a manner that supports innovation and protects our customers, shareholders, and associates. You will partner with peers and senior leaders, second and third lines of defense, as well as lines of business to drive organizational change to better manage the Company’s risk in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded.
Enterprise Services Risk professionals are experienced, well-trained, and progressive individuals that operate within a highly collaborative team environment to deliver value-added risk services to our business partners. The Principal Associate candidate will be a highly-motivated professional with excellent analytical, planning, collaboration, and communication skills. You will help drive adherence to Capital One’s Technical Resiliency Standard as well as help support ES lines of business in developing and maintaining robust business continuity strategies.
Responsibilities:
Partner with LOB Champions to help drive compliance to Capital One’s Technical Resiliency Standard
Help advance testing strategies for workforce, workplace, internal applications and Third Party applications and services
Assist with identification, tracking and mitigation of all aspects of Business Continuity/ Resiliency Management including PRIME issues
Assist with development, delivery and support of data analytics regarding ES risk management practices, outcomes and trends
Provide thought leadership and guidance in executing business continuity and risk management practices to strengthen Enterprise Service’s operational resilience
Stay current on understanding effective operational resilience strategies and business continuity requirements
Participate in Local Incident Response Team (LIRT)
Partner with other Line of Business Risk offices, Resiliency Team, 2nd Line Risk Management functions and other appropriate stakeholders and partners
Provide Audit and exam management support
Lead and execute specific operational initiatives and projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or military experience
At least 2 years working in a technical background
At least 2 years of Risk Management experience
Experience in Google Slides/Doc/Sheets
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years experience in operating in a cross functional capacity and working on complex initiatives
At least 4 years of technical experience
At least 4 years of Risk Management experience
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
