Lead Platform Engineer (Remote-Eligible)

We are seeking Lead Platform Engineers who are passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies. As a Capital One Platform Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

  • Deployment, management and maintenance of Virtualization platforms in the public cloud.

  • Deploy Highly Available Fault tolerant solutions in Amazon Web Services

  • Escalate and drive issues related to your products

  • Join high severity incident calls and lead troubleshooting efforts for a quick recovery.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • At least 6 years of experience in software development

  • At least 2 years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Security, Engineering or Mathematics

  • 3+ years of experience with Ab Initio, ETL, ECE

  • 3+ years of experience architecting applications for the AWS cloud

  • 3+ years of experience developing scripts in PowerShell, VBScript, JavaScript, or Python
