Senior Associate, Customer Resiliency Transaction Testing

As a Senior Associate in Capital One’s Customer Resiliency organization, you will apply your risk management, process management, project management and analytical skills to our highest profile Risk Management processes. Transaction testing is a key function to help ensure our intent matches our execution and that our customers are treated as expected. The Senior Associate will engage with internal stakeholders, and their teams, to evaluate risks in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded. They will have a high level of exposure across lines of business and the opportunity to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.

The Senior Associate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to iterate on the testing process in order to identify gaps between intent and execution. They will provide independent testing on accounts against Capital One’s risk management framework and report final results to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an understanding of business processes and related credit policy standards

  • Execute test assessments, continually validating and improving existing design

  • Obtain and analyze data, supporting and initiating efforts to improve data sourcing and innovation with business partners and IT support teams

  • Manage to schedules to ensure all results are completed within established timeframes and documented within systems of record

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Credit Policy Advisors, Risk Offices, and Business Areas

  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and conceptual skills

  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Exercise professional skepticism and judgment

  • Demonstrate creative thinking to drive continuous process improvements

  • Maintaining details on process operations

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 1 year of experience in audit, compliance, risk management, control, or transaction reviews

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2+ years of financial services consumer compliance monitoring, auditing, risk management, or compliance experience

  • 1+ years of collections or recoveries experience
