Sr. Associate, Risk Management

The mission of the Retail Risk Office is to help enable the Retail Bank to deliver innovative products and services to our customers in a well-managed way.

The Retail Risk Associate Readiness Team (ART) is looking for a qualified Sr Associate who will work closely with all areas of Retail Risk, identify skills and training needs based on trends emerging from risk assessments. Govern and manage change management intake, prioritization, and tracking related to risk assessments and SOR. Own communication within Retail Risk related to changing risk assessment expectations, SOR, QA standards, etc. Understand, interpret and identify downstream impacts of policy changes from Enterprise partners. Update and maintain Retail Risk SOR documentation related to risk assessments. Create, manage, and deliver training content to address risk assessment skill needs.

Sr. Associate level competencies in communication, team work, job specific skills, integrated thinking, problem solving, and influence are required. We are looking for a team player who is able to operate autonomously and will help the Bank Risk Office advance our Well-Managed agenda.

As a Risk Manager Sr. Associate, you will:

  • Play a significant role driving results in the overall skill development of key risk assessment processes for Retail Bank; e.g.: Process Level and/or Consumer, SBB and Division (Retail Bank) Level

  • Coordinate with Risk Office partners to ensure prioritization of implementation work is appropriate

  • Create a robust partnership with Retail Risk Monitoring, Process & Governance teams and Assessment Facilitators to ensure skill needs are well supported

  • Ensure framework communicated and delivered within established Enterprise standards

  • Use your vantage point to connect the dots of the changing strategic and operational priorities and risk environment and partner with the risk advisors and business to understand the impacts

  • Be intellectually curious to question the obvious, explore options, and seek to develop and implement efficiencies and process improvements

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this role

  • Able to self manage, prioritize work and and consistently deliver results

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 1 year of Operations or Risk Management Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Business Process Management certification (BPM)

  • 3+ years of Operations Management or Risk Management Experience
