Thought Leadership Research Principal Director for Talent
We seek an experienced, well-rounded business and thought leadership research leader with a background in Talent & Organization research field, and a passion for rethinking people’s relationship with work and organizational culture.
The individual has knowledge of the key issues related to Talent & Organization, incl. skilling and learning, new employment and workplace models, inclusion & diversity, culture and leadership, HR transformation as well as the impact of emerging technologies on work and people.
Thought Leadership Researchers at the Principal Director level must be able to:
Establish themselves as a Subject Matter Expert recognized inside and outside Accenture.
Design a research agenda addressing key C-level issues in area of expertise.
Define and manage new and complex thought leadership research projects.
Shape and build on ideas collaboratively developed in partnership with senior business leaders.
Drive innovation through combination of new research tools, techniques, and approaches.
Be a talent magnet.
Develops thought provoking insights through market analysis and in-depth review of trends, under the leadership of Accenture’s business leaders
Proactively introduces innovative ideas to senior leadership and clients
Designs and manages research to define and re-shape thinking on major People related issues
Recognized internally and externally as an expert in the Talent research field
Publishes regularly through Accenture’s publication channels and other channels as well as presents in top tier conferences and workshops.
Has a strong internal and growing external network and social media presence
Ability to operate at the Executive level
Research focused on Accenture Business and Accenture’s Clients business (“so what?”) with major and long-lasting impact
Credible in presenting work and discussing issues with clients
Shapes & manages innovative and complex research programs of work with global scope and manages related budget
Credible with leadership and clients, both at global level in very different geographies and cultural contexts
Track record in research with broad experience in applying the main research techniques, including talent & organization frameworks, data science/economic modeling, surveys and people related data sources
Subject matter expertise across the talent issues of large international companies, including core issues of CHROs
An understanding of the role of digital and technology in disrupting talent at large organizations
Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to make sense out of data
Able to think creatively and drive innovation in research to address complex business questions
Able to craft an original, relevant and compelling storyline and business messages for C-suite audiences
Solid experience in the presentation of research deliverables to external audience, incl. high level executives
Proven ability to manage people and complex multi-country research projects
Able to lead and drive consensus where there are many stakeholders
Strong communications skills and good interpersonal skills in one-to-one and team settings
A bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, management or social sciences
Minimum of 15 years of business experience, ideally within a business facing research department or management / strategy consultancy or equivalent skills/experience
A post-graduate degree/qualification, such as PhD is a plus
Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
