This role has the primary responsibility for leading the teams (HQ and Field) who develop & implement Patient & Specialty Service (PSS) strategies and tactics to ensure that appropriate MS (Multiple Sclerosis) patients and HCPs will be able to access and understand Novartis Products. PSS generally encompasses the patient journey after the HCP has independently decided that a Novartis product is appropriate for a particular patient. This includes the journey from prescription, product initiation, and the intermediary steps to access and utilize a Novartis Product (e.g assessing if coverage or financial reimbursement is available, providing ancillary product support, and beginning treatment). Other examples of the areas in which this role will lead include benefits investigation (Hub Services), co-pay assistance, free trial offers, adherence programs and enhanced pharmacy services.

The PSS MS Head serves as the owner and leader for the end to end patient journey inclusive of all PSS elements for the 3 current products in the marketplace, including co-pay, adherence, hub operations, specialty pharmacy enhanced services (if relevant), external landscape/monitoring, overall program strategy & market dynamics, program design, and then tight monitoring and performance management.

This position will be a key member of the PSS Leadership Team helping to shape the future of the broader PSS organization. This role will also serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) in the MS Integrated Product Strategy Team (IPST) and will be accountable for collaboratively working with all stakeholders with significant focus on ensuring tight alignment with Access leads and with all access strategies and investments. Ultimately delivering superior strategy and operational excellence across the portfolio of products while balancing the need to optimize all investments and portfolio of services in PSS.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and execute relevant Disease Area specific PSS tactics that dovetail with both IPST and broader PSS strategies related to both patients and HCPs
• Collaborate with Novartis stakeholders to understand brand value drivers and key business challenges, in order to develop scope of services and delivery model to enhance patient experience
• Inspire and influence our PSS MS Field Teams (FRMs and PSCs) to drive excellence in field execution and optimize impact.
• Track and optimize the full patient journey across all brands within Disease Team
• Drive integration of PSS priorities and performance in strategic plans, IPST priori-ties and executive updates
• Proactively establish strong internal and external relationships within PSS, the IPST, broader market access group, field groups, and all enabling functions
• Establishment of the patients services strategic priorities, budgets and performance KPIs
• Recruit, develop and retain high performing associates (HQ & Field) and team leaders, and establish a results-driven, customer-focused, and team-centered culture
