The implementation leader position within the Group Benefits Operations organization is responsible for planning and managing the onboarding of new customers. The implementation leader will work with both internal and external parties to ensure that benefits are installed timely and accurately in order for employees to utilize their MetLife products. Act as a liaison between organization’s technology and plan administration staff during and possibly after implementation process. May participate in sales presentations, and/or consult on plan design and administrative services; may recommend alternative plan provisions or administrative processes in place of non-standard or incompatible requests.

Participates in post-sale activities in setting up or converting client cases.
Reviews sold plan and project timeline with sales staff to identify any non-standard provisions or services.
Reviews and executes all legal documents and prepares and finalizes a project plan
Partners with other business units (Sales, IT, etc.) to ensure that implementations are delivered consistently, timely, and accurately
Conducts weekly or periodic status meetings w/ various parties to review progress and resolve issues
May be responsible for system related issues associated with new plan implementation
Identifies implementation-related problems and helps resolve issues.
Hosts and facilitates implementation calls with new and/or existing customers
Leads projects related to process improvements and/or new product deployment
May facilitate training to peers
Adherence to team and organization goals/metrics
Determination of system set up based on customer needs and products sold
May be required to write and maintain process work instructions
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
2+ years of employee benefits experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Time Management Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to modify and develop procedures and policies to meet reporting needs/requirements

Proficient in: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Standard
