Sundial brands, the maker of SheaMoisture and Nubian Heritage is looking for a Social Media & Influencer lead. This person will be an integral part of the marketing team and will play a critical role in shaping our interactions with our community online.

  • You’re a dot connector: You will need to have a strong understanding of our consumer, what is important to them from social to economic to community issues and make recommendations on what role the brand can/should play.
  • You’re a story teller & content creator:You will need to be immersed in the culture and trends of the moment quickly crafting content that can lead to community engagement with the brand.
  • You are an advocate for our consumer and community: We are a mission with a business and not a business with a mission. You will immerse yourself in our consumer and community to understand their needs and ultimately be an advocate for them.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy across our portfolio of brands from social, influencer and PR and driving synergies across the disciplines. Leverage paid, owned and earned channels to maximize reach and effectiveness and ultimately drive commerce
  • Ownership of all social and owned digital consumer touchpoints
  • Develop a unique brand voice, ensuring consistent execution across channels
  • Annual planning across social and influencer including budget allocations
  • Manage and effectively lead external partners including, but not limited to, influencer agencies in development of strategic and yearly plans
  • Ongoing analysis of in market tactics and recommended actions for improvement
  • Continuous monitoring of the rapidly changing online environment and translating to actionable insights and plans
  • Build strong relationships across functions, (Creative, Social Impact, Performance Marketing, Innovation) and leverage social as an engine to communicate key priorities
  • Develop talent on the team including direct reports
  • Special projects as assigned

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of social and digital marketing experience
  • Passion for purpose driven brands
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced culture
  • Experience working with and leading cross functional teams
