Supply Chain and Operations professionals house individuals who help clients develop strategies and operating models that integrate fulfillment functions within an organization, as well as connect suppliers and customers across the extended supply chain.

You are:

An expert in Direct Materials Procurement. You know how to make procurement work for clients, society, and our planet – ensuring input products and services are received responsibly without interruption. And, what’s more - you’ve got the real-life experience and analytical know-how in one or several manufacturing industries and associated Direct Material Categories to reduce product complexity, optimize supply chain risk exposure, increase supplier resiliency long-term profitability. Experienced in the Supply Chain SCOR model structure and associated impacts on Direct Material quality, cost, and delivery metrics.

The work:

  • You will support our clients across a broad range of manufacturing industries to address their issues related to:

    • Competitive agility – maximizing the value of the procurement function

    • COGs Cost takeout – utilizing various technical and commercial levers including complex sourcing, fact-based negotiation, should-cost modelling, tear-down, design to cost principles, specification rationalization

    • Digital disruption – RPA, AI, Blockchain, amongst others

    • Mergers & Acquisition – clean room-based synergy identification and PMI execution

    • Responsible Procurement – redefining, executing, and monitoring performance against environmental, social, and corporate governance target

  • You will spot, isolate, and solve procurement problems using your skills in:

    • Advanced analytics – spend, contracts, consumption, parts rationalization, and complexity reduction. Predictive and prescriptive insights driven from market-based conditions

    • Should-cost modelling Direct / COGS (incl. chemicals, resins/plastics, metals, ingredients, contract manufacturing, assemblies, etc. across various manufacturing process areas)

    • Operating model architecture – people, process technology

  • You will also, throughout your work, have opportunities to:

    • Lead small to medium sized teams (3 – 10), with diverse backgrounds skills and knowledge

    • Effectively manage and coach others, collaborating with internal and external parties

    • Support client sales origination and thought leadership development

    • Challenge legacy ways of working using constructive techniques that fuel client growth

    • Drive a positive impact in the communities where we work and live

Travel:

For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in Direct Materials Procurement or COGs related cost takeout initiatives

  • At minimum of 4 years working in an external consulting firm and operating at the Senior Manager equivalent

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in any of the following industries/categories is a plus: CPG, Agribusiness, Food Ingredients, Resins, Chemicals

  • You have the proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • You excel in building and developing relationships, overseeing complex programs, and demonstrating leadership

  • You’ve earned an MBA or equivalent graduate degree

  • You have a functional-level understanding of technology solutions

  • You have experience leading COGs Cost takeout initiatives - utilizing various technical and commercial levers including complex sourcing, fact-based negotiation, should-cost modelling, tear-down, design to cost principles, specification rationalization

  • You have experience in driving Digital disruption for the procurement function utilizing technologies like RPA, AI, Blockchain, amongst others

  • You have exposure to Mergers & Acquisition – clean room-based synergy identification and PMI execution

  • You have exposure to Responsible Procurement – redefining, executing, and monitoring performance against environmental, social, and corporate governance targets

Professional Skill Requirements:

  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Desire to work in an information systems environment

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent leadership and management skills

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $159,000-$288,000 and [Register to View]
