The Strategic Operations Management (SOM) Lead will be a senior member of the Enterprise Risk Team responsible for building the Strategic Operations Management Team and overseeing the effective integration and operations delivery of outsourced services. She/he will develop, promote, maintain, and manage the operations partnership with suppliers and service providers to improve productivity, service delivery, and quality. The Lead will perform periodic reviews, analyzing outcomes against targeted performance metrics and benchmarks, providing insights, and making recommendations for enhancements to deliver the expected benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES•Provide advice and guidance on implementation of operations delivery arrangements•Facilitate and support relationships and key interactions between BMO internal business/group partners and suppliers/service providers•Oversee the execution of all operations components and product(s)/service(s), ensuring delivery according to the contractual service level agreements (SLA) in compliance with corporate standards•Establish benchmarks and key performance metrics, monitor and track BMO and supplier performance and addresses any issues•Design and produce regular and ad-hoc performance reports and dashboards•Break down strategic problems, analyze data and information, understand best practices to provide insights and improvement recommendations to unlock value•Inform and advise other outsourcing and process optimization efforts in Risk Management and elsewhere
QUALIFICATIONS•10+ years of experience in outsourced operations management, with strong emphasis on knowledge process outsourcing for financial services•Strong knowledge and experience in process optimization and capacity/resource optimization, ideally with 6-sigma certification.•Experience liaising between business areas and suppliers/service providers•Track record delivering measurable business impact through operations•Ability to manage/cultivate enterprise talent•Experience working in a global and dynamic environment•Verbal & written communication skills - Expert•Analytical and problem-solving skills - Expert.•Data driven decision making - Expert.
