Responsibilities

Summary

The Finance Analyst will focus on high impact projects and initiatives within the Planning & Control function - including assisting in the preparation and development of operating and capital budgets, forecasts, short and long-term business plans, variance, and trend analysis. This role is also responsible for overseeing and coordinating the consolidations and distribution of daily, weekly and monthly statistical and financial reports and analysis. The ideal candidate will have foundational finance/business planning knowledge, the ability and willingness to engage in complex analysis, and aspirations to further develop a career in Finance.

Responsibilities

Budget/Forecast

· Responsible for preparing annual budget and quarterly forecasts for both OPEX and CAPEX.

· Work closely with business leaders to develop projections that reflect operational and financial goals of the company and act as a resource to help achieve these goals.

· Assist with budget/forecast presentation for the department

Month-End Close

· Produce monthly accrual/reclass entries; work closely with Accounting department to ensure entries are posted in a timely manner.

· Analyze and detail monthly variances; incorporate variances into running monthly forecast.

· General Ledger downloads during close.

· Review remittance from clients and match the payments to the appropriate invoices and book the necessary adjustments.

· Assist with month-end close presentation for the department.

Other Responsibilities

· Update analysis outlining deviations to plan and review with business leaders.

· Develop solutions to deviations to align back with original plan.

· Work with business leaders to identify saving opportunities and efficiencies.

· Determine best practices to improve quality and efficiencies to current workflow and create consistencies across network.

· Perform routine and ad-hoc analysis.

· Work on special projects as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3 years of related work experience preferred, with strong analytical skills and understanding key aspects of financial planning
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and interpersonal skills, including excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to interact with employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to perform well under pressure with strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Proficient in Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase, and Budget/Forecast software is preferred.
  • Media experience is a plus.
