By transforming the way businesses function within Facebook, we are helping to bring billions of people around the world closer together, and this is your opportunity to make an impact.Facebook’s Enterprise Engineering Operations team is looking to hire a Technical Domain Manager (TDM) to implement, manage and drive optimization of an end-to-end operational service supporting a cloud-based virtual desktop platform utilized by our vendors. Primary focus is to lead technical operations for vendor site deployments, user acceptance testing and vendor site technical assessments.This is a constantly evolving space, so the TDM needs to be flexible and be able to pivot based on the scale and scope increasing technical initiatives under this service. The TDM will have the responsibility to build relationships and processes while ensuring success during the evaluation, scoping and delivery of the programs and initiatives within this service.

Required SkillsTechnical Domain Manager – Supernova TechOps Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of CWs to deliver Meta vendor site Audits/Assessments of Meta Partner sites globally including pre-audit, travel to vendor site, vendor readiness reports, and ad hoc services upon request
  • Take ambiguous requirements to pointed implementation of new business processes, services, or engineering efforts across both the EE Ops organization and partner organizations within the company
  • Help define roadmap and long term strategy with cross functional teams within the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure program space
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
  • Work closely with partner organizations to understand new initiatives, understand how they affect aspects of the program and/or other teams, and ensure these new initiatives are accounted for in our processes
  • Elicit detailed technical requirements by engaging teams to capture clear functional design artifacts using techniques like use cases, data diagrams and process flow diagrams
  • Build service-level metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, propose strong technical cases for initiatives, and report on operations performance
  • Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices, analyze problems and devise solutions to roadblocks and unique challenges across teams spanning dozens of cities and countries
  • Liaise with engineering teams to work to develop test, pilot and deployment plans. Identify any issues and work to resolve in a timely manner
  • Find new efficiencies and process improvements in existing workflows while anticipating and mitigating potential problems
  • Work with Meta TPMs to support operational efficiencies and automation or tooling efforts
  • Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases
  • Subject Matter Expert for Supernova TechOps activities
  • ensuring clear, transparent flow of information to all cross-functionals
  • Implementation, and post implementation phases. Perform day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks as well as risk management and change management on projects
  • Ability to travel globally 40%
Minumum QualificationMinimum Qualifications:
  • Experience thinking strategically in areas that may be outside of the candidate’s domain expertise (logistics, finance, complicated risk management, etc.)
  • 5+ years experience in Information Technology in large organizations
  • 5+ years experience with enterprise network, infrastructure, and/or cloud services
  • 4+ years experience in Project or Program Management
Preferred Qualification
