Position Description:

Responsible for supervision of all aspects of concrete operations for Turner Construction’s Self Perform Operations in Miami, FL. The concrete foreman is responsible for managing finishers, form setters, rodbusters, and equipment operators. This position is expected to be a working foreman, setting the example in the field with regards to working safely, productive and exhibiting professionalism while lifting morale. The foreman should have a fundamental working knowledge of all of the scopes of work, good communication and managerial skills, as well as the ability to record and fill required safety reports with the upmost integrity. Turner Construction is an industry leader in safety, lean initiatives, ethical behavior and continuous improvement hence it is imperative the foreman drives these principles with his/her crew.

Hourly Rate: $25 - $28/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Set Line and Grade from points established by others.
- Oversee proper installation of formwork, rebar, and embeds, sleeves, rough openings in masonry and other components from approved shop drawings / architectural / structural drawings (plans) if necessary.
- Use of concrete pullers, screeds, concrete hand tools, bull floats, mixers, overlay products, decorative vertical stamping, mule, etc.
- Place, consolidate, and protect case-in-place concrete or masonry structures.
- Position, join, align, and seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections and pipes.
- Oversee, assist, and inspect while using heavy machinery to dig up and grade existing material, form new concrete, and ensure everything meets OSHA standards
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools.
- Spray materials through hoses to clean, coat, or seal surfaces.
- Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Build and position forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts.
- Receive work order and/or blueprints, assess job site for potential safety issues and problems
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinating various concrete groups and subcontractors, and dealing with personnel issues. Supervise, assist, and inspect the construction of building projects to include constructing and repairing retaining and partition walls, insulated concrete forms, building concrete buildings, vertical stamping, overlays, etc.
- Provide assistance to craft workers, such as carpenters and concrete finishers.
- Demolish structures and salvage useful materials.
- May perform other duties as necessary or required.

- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience with references and working history.
- Be familiar with procedures of Building Layout
- Skilled at reading and following construction documents including shop drawings, building plans and specs.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structure, such as grade leveler, etc.
- Quality control and ability to train others in all aspects of concrete finishing.
- Local and live within reasonable commuting distance to Miami, FL.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Schedule flexibility to work a 40-50 hour work week depending on project requirements.
