Full-time onsite:

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site in Nashua, NH. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Description of role:
The Microwave Factory Operations Manager/Product Stream Manager (PSM) will report to the Product Line Operations Director (PLOD), who oversees Operations for the Small Form Factor Solutions (SFFS) Product Line. The MW PSM will have responsibility and take direction from the PLOD for the Microwave factories supporting the SFFS product lines. In this role you will:

Support the PLOD with critical tasks, objectives, and outputs for all matters related to MW.
Be responsible for the manufacturing and testing of highly complex RF Microwave Assemblies. Direct reports include Supervisors, Product Engineers, Technical Operations, and Continuous Improvement.
Support program execution and support non-recurring engineering program phases, including driving early involvement in development and transition to production programs of the various Operations functions.
Technology includes pick & place, manual component placement and positioning, manual assembly, manual/automated optical inspection, as well as functional and environmental test. Be responsible for the training and development of 40 people over multiple shifts (including weekends).
Help eliminate and/or escalate any roadblocks from the factory, so that the factory has what they need to execute their daily activities. Day to day activities may include, but are not limited to, attending daily GEMBAs (Tier 3 specifically), supporting monthly CABs and CARBs, and driving Continuous Improvement efforts.
Establish an effective communications framework throughout the team and address personnel issues, escalating these to the PLOD and or Human Resources when necessary.
Be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing, quality, cost and delivery of EW systems that reside in the SFFS Product Lines for Microwave.
Be responsible for the supply chain execution via a matrix organization. The MW PSM provides operational input to the overall SFFS program strategy when called upon. Collaborate with their direct supervisors to determine and communicate labor and capacity needs, maintaining a team that is structured and staffed correctly.
Be responsible for maintaining capacity models for the factory including test capacity.
Support any production transitions both for physical moves and new product introductions.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years work experience or equivalent experience
Business and financial acumen, with proven ability to manage scope and budget
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in developing and supporting Continuous Improvement activities
Able to perform/understand capacity analysis and constraints to the factory flow
Able to present to all levels, from senior company leadership to the critical touch personnel on the factory floor

Strong working knowledge of Lean concepts
6Sigma Certification: Lean Manufacturing Green Belt/Black Belt/Master Black Belt
AS9100D Certified
Experience in Tableau, MS Office(MS Project) a plus
