Job Description Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. Note onsite work can be based out of Austin, TX or Nashua, NH.

BAE Systems is seeking an Integrated Test Engineering Discipline Lead for our Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) and Precision Strike (PS) organizations. This is a Director level position responsible for all aspects of Integrated Test Engineering performance including the application of ITE processes, tools, talent acquisition, talent development and program performance. The CEMA/PS ITE organization develops and delivers test solutions for our complex electronic products to both our factories and to our engineering teams.

The Role: In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with CEMA & PS business area leaders to ensure business objectives are achieved.
  • Inspire, motivate and grow technical excellence within your team. Attract and retain staff to support the business; resolve any resource or staffing issues.
  • Identify, hire and develop critical skills and resources required to meet business objectives.
  • Establish goals and standards of performance; create budgets, staffing requirements, and short and long-term strategic plans that are aligned with the direction of the business.
  • Ensure ITE commitments (staffing levels, bids, program execution, etc) are met and achieve both engineering and CEMA & PS business objectives.

  • BS Degree in Engineering with at least 12 years of work experience, or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to lead a large, diverse, and complex organization across multiple sites.
  • Extensive technical leadership experience in hardware, systems, software or test development and ability to create alignment within the organization.
  • Ability to formulate a vision and implement action plans to achieve goals.
  • Proven performance in management, mentoring, coaching and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and decision-making ability.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience in RF and Electro-optical test or electronic warfare or countermeasures
  • Experience in state-of-the-art test methods for hardware products in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience with product development using the AS-9145 process or similar
  • Familiar with design for test paradigms, test software, and data analytics
  • Experience working in a classified environment
  • Experience leading organizational change
  • Experience with Agile development techniques
