Job Description Deputy Program Manager/Chief Engineer, Bachelor degree (BS/BA) in a related engineering field, or a minimum of 20 years of experience of in-depth specialized knowledge in the related field. Minimum 15 years’ experience with DoD/DON programs, Industry or Government technical management, and Industry or Government business management. Minimum of 15 years’ supervisory experience. Responsibility for overall planning, direction and execution of programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives which have great significance to the contract and customer needs. Also responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long range plans. This includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; and defining and negotiation with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. . Establishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks in support of the Program Manager and government technical director. Specialized experience with AEGIS related programs are essential to ensuring the Chief Engineer can navigate difficult programmatic issues.
