FAST Labs - Advanced Methodologies Tech Group Lead (81964BR)
Job Description Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Through research programs funded by science and technology R&D organizations within the U.S. Department of Defense, our research and development teams fearlessly innovate and collaborate across the enterprise to create game-changing capabilities. The R3 Mission Systems (MS) directorate is looking for a Technology Development Manager II to help execute and steer our teams to develop and then transition the cutting-edge capabilities to the warfighter. This position involves working with a mixture of software, firmware, and research engineers in tandem with our customers in order to realize this mission. MS works on programs whose aims involve RF electronic warfare, communications, SIGINT, ELINT, and other digital signals processing. Fulfilling the expectations of this role includes technical execution of program portfolios, new business capture, and the generation of the products associated with these efforts. More specifically, the Advanced Methodologies Tech Group Lead will be responsible for guiding program teams to not only execute for success on their programs, but also to generate products to fulfill larger strategic endeavors.
This position is based out of our Merrimack, NH though it will require collaboration with staff across our business areas and facilities in the Northeast United States.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status and eligibility to obtain a US security clearance.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, Computer Science, or similar field with 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience writing proposals and building customer relationships
- Applies and develops advanced technologies, principles, theories, and concepts
- Strong analytic and project and personnel leadership skills
- Experience creating or analyzing highly complex software, firmware, and/or system engineering architectures and designs
- Experience leading or managing programs for highly complex software systems
- Top Secret clearance
- 5+ years of experience leading technical teams.
- Experience leading proposal teams and coordinating customer relationships
- Master’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, Computer Science, or similar field with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Top Secret with SCI clearance.
