Job Description Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

BAE Systems is seeking a Tech Manual developer of Operator and Maintenance manuals for an advanced Airborne High Frequency Radio System installed aboard military aircraft. As a key member of the Product Support engineering team, this individual will gather technical data from other Subject Matter Experts in order to document key elements derived from system specifications, test procedures, and other related product support reports associated with an evolving, state of the art electronics system. The selected candidate will need to understand logical flow and possess a robust ability to focus on details in order to provide comprehensive materials that result in clear, concise, and comprehensive technical publications for customer use in accordance with USAF Technical Manual Contract Requirements.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must be able to obtain SECRET level clearance
- 4+ years of documented experience working as a Technical Manual Developer preparing technical material directly from source materials (technical drawings, logistics data etc.)
- Demonstrated experience writing original documents including computer publishing skills using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
- Experience developing document elements using Adobe Framemaker, Adobe Acrobat Professional or other graphics software to develop or convert graphics for use in documentation
- Self-motivated with an ability to work independently
- Microsoft Word and Adobe Framemaker super user. Experience with Arbortext Editor and Datalogics Composer helpful are a plus.
- Familiarity with XML data formats
- Experience working with a broader product support team to include Technical Trainers and Product Support engineers
- Familiarity with elements associated with Logistics Support Analysis Requirements and Level of Repair Analysis
- Currently possess a SECRET level clearance
