Financial Analyst II - Facilities (Remote)

Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Financial Analyst to work remotely for the Electronic Systems (ES) Sector in the Facilities Finance organization. The Facilities Finance organization is a trusted business partner delivering information and innovative solutions for decision-making in order to manage the facilities across the sector. ***This position is full-time remote, however, it is strongly preferred that the selected individual is from the greater New England area (NH, MA, CT, RI, VT, ME, or Northeastern NY - Albany region), due to a desire for them to be within reasonable driving distance to BAE facilities in New Hampshire.


  • Record accounting transactions including preparing and posting journal entries and cost transfers
  • Perform analysis and reconciliation of general ledger account activity
  • Respond to regular data requests and reporting requirements to support the Facilities team
  • Support internal and external audit requirements
  • Manage Intercompany work orders (IWO)
  • Prepare monthly utility and lease payment requests
  • Participate in annual insurance data collection
  • Assist with reporting and analysis related to lease accounting in compliance with IFRS 16
  • Create and manage Purchase Orders to support IT Operations
  • Responsible for reviewing/approving access to Expense Analysis module for all ES employees
  • Responsible for the Tag break out of capital RCE’s
  • Participate in the development and testing of system tools to enhance accounting capabilities
  • Ensure compliance to internal controls and seek out opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of work experience or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in Accounting, Finance organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse work teams
  • Capability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience communicating and presenting financial data to other functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint
Pursuant to a specific US Government contract, selected individual must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
  • Experience with monthly close activities (ie. JV's, Reconciliations)
  • Knowledge of IFRS16 lease accounting
  • Prior financial analysis experience
