BAE Systems is currently seeking a Project Manager who is interested in joining a team of professionals providing direct intelligence support to the Department of Defense as part of a team based out of Fort Belvoir, VA.
Successful candidates will be accountable for all aspects of contract execution and manage the hands-on, day-to-day execution of related operational activities. They will have complete oversight and administrative control over the entire contractor workforce and will be the senior level liaison between the contractor and Government, working directly with the KO and COR to ensure all requirements are being met within the terms of the contract. The PM will be responsible for program/project management operations and resourcing of all task order requirements, including staffing, GFE accountability, and tasking responses, as well as for meeting all technical, financial, and contractual requirements. They will ensure that management processes and business systems facilitate meeting performance requirements and are authorized to act on all matters relating to the daily operation of the task order. The PM will actively participate in specified meetings, briefings, conferences, seminars, progress reviews, and other functions/events as deemed appropriate by the COR. This participation may include providing management, technical, cost or schedule information and other advice and assistance to the KO/COR.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education / Experience –
- Master’s degree in business related field required AND 10 years of project management experience, including 8 years of supervisory experience leading teams of at least 40 people
- PhD degree in business related field required AND 9 years of project management experience, including 7 years of supervisory experience leading teams of at least 40 people
Required Specialization Qualification –
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field required AND 12 years of project management experience, including 10 years of supervisory experience leading teams of at least 40 people
About BAE Systems Intelligence & Security
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FACP/PM) - Senior Level.
- Communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and subordinates.
