Job Description

To perform task relative to instrumentation shop to include making repairs to machines and equipment. This position will start as a first shift position. Candidates must be able to work other shifts as required.


  • Perform the duties of the craft to include the following:
  • Knowledge of the sequence of operations in making repairs to machines and equipment applicable to their craft.
  • Lay out and set up jobs.
  • Must pass entrance exam according to the CBA
  • Know and observe plant safety and housekeeping rules.
  • Perform work to quality standards in a safe, efficient and economical manner under close supervision.


A. Physical Tasks

Exerts frequent physical energy. Must be able to perform unassisted lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, and sit for prolonged periods of time.

B. Working Conditions

  • Must be capable of working in all seasonal environment/conditions.
  • Must be capable of working in an energetic and hazardous environment including handling of hazardous material.
  • Must wear proper protective equipment including, but not limited to, respirators, hard toe shoes, coveralls, head protection, eye, hand and hearing protection.
  • May work extended hours, weekends, or holidays.
  • May be called into work to assist with an emergency.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Must have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Instrumentation
  • Must hold a current valid state license to operate automotive equipment
  • Must be able to work M-F 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
