Procurement Analyst / Buyer (Remote local)

Job Description Work within team of procurement professionals to action material requisitions per MRP planning recommendations for assigned commodities.

  • Negotiate purchase requirements with suppliers to meet target pricing and/or ensure best value procurements for BAE
  • Actively work with suppliers to resolve schedule conflicts, and follows through with material planners to ensure understanding of delivery commitments.
  • Work with Commodity Managers to contribute to strategic initiatives and participate in process improvement projects
  • Resolve delivery and accounts payable issues in a timely manner
  • Continually monitors suppliers within assigned commodity areas to achieve quality and delivery objectives
  • Executes all purchases in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs & DFARs) and company policies
  • NOTE: This job is full time remote but employee is expected to be local to the Endicott, NY area
Because this role involves a combination of independent and collaborative work, this position can be conducted 100% remotely.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelors degree in relevant field (such as Supply Chain Management)
  • Recent BS degree graduate within the last 1 to 2 years
  • Ability to execute procurement of direct commodity items
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Problem solving
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFAR regulations and Export Control requirements
  • Hands on experience with ERP systems
  • APICS or ISM Supply Chain related certifications
  • Green Belt/Black Belt certifications
