The Leidos Intelligence Group has a career opportunity for a Junior Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Program Summary:
Leidos is a preferred partner on a newly awarded, large, multi-year contract that develops, integrates deploys, and sustains large collection systems. The work is extremely important to the government and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. We provide exceptional service to our customer in an area in which we have deep incumbent knowledge.

Significant requirements include Mission Management, Operations, and Sustainment activities, as well as software engineering for specific mission sets. The team will provide 24x7x365 support to multiple Operations Teams and will feature 1st/2nd/3rd Party Partner Engagement.

Job Summary:

The Junior Software Engineer will design and implement hardware and software solutions including documentation, testing and modification, schematics, mechanical drawings, cable assemblies, and parts lists; and will test and evaluate hardware and software designs to ensure proper operation.

Additional activities may include:

  • Supporting a range of analytical products and functions to allow for development of signal exploitation capabilities.
  • Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
  • Analyzing hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processors
  • Contributing to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Assisting with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance to be considered for this role

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one (1) year software engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical field is highly desirable and can substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.

Pay Range:Pay Range $53,300.00 - $82,000.00 - $110,700.00
