Job Description Full-time onsite:

  • Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Experienced Test Engineer with strong RF background to support a low volume, high mix production environment.

Candidate will:
  • Troubleshoot production issues in a complex and dynamic mixed model product and test environment.
  • Work with lower level technical staff to debug test failures down to a component level.
  • Perform comprehensive analysis of test data to identify changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
  • Work on an individual or team basis to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
  • Communicate utilizing written and oral communication skills; interact with managers, staff, co-workers and others encountered in the course of work; ability to compose materials such as detailed reports and work-related documents and communicate substantively about them.
  • Provide continuous improvement ideas and drive cost take out initiatives of production test.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Candidate must have experience troubleshooting / debug RF electronics to the component level.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a low volume, high mix production environment.
  • Ability to read electronic schematics and technical documents.
  • Hands-on test equipment and related test adapter troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience with RF instrumentation, to include network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and signal sources.
  • Ability to perform Root Cause analysis, containment of failures in a production environment and implement subsequent corrective actions.
  • Ability to gather, analyze and present applicable defect data.
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner using Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with continuous improvement activities including Kaizen events and PFMEAs.
  • Active secret level clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • AS-9145 implementation experience.
  • Experience with various test equipment including: Power Supplies, Digital I/O, Oscilloscopes, Switch Matrices, DMMs, Counter/Timers, Thermal Controllers, from various manufacturers including Keysight and National Instruments.
  • Software programming competencies (NITestStand, NI-LabWindows, C, C++, etc)
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications.
  • Current Secret level U.S. security clearance.
  • 4+ years experience with B.S. level degree.
  • Previous experience with Solumina and TipQA software packages.
  • Experience in a high paced production environment
