Quality Tranformation Leader

This position is responsible and accountable for mid-term and supports long term execution of the Quality transformation strategy of GOS quality.

Your Day to Day:

  • Serves as a primary technical resource for GOS leading the achievement of milestones on the Quality transformation roadmap.
  • Expert understanding of technically complex product and multiple manufacturing technologies; integrates well across multiple disciplines.
  • Careful judgement and application of modern technical tools to diverse, often difficult-to-define problems and requirements.
  • Self-driven to expand technical breadth and its new applications to new business directions (growth).
  • Leads development of quality criteria for a world class Supply Chain organization that manages capable suppliers.
  • Build the management operating system to support low touch oversight of suppliers.
  • Leads in shifting the organization from being focused on only quality compliance to quality performance through the development of process capability framework which enables organizational maturity from inspect for product conformance to also process performance.
  • Collaborate with other functions in developing manufacturing readiness criteria and deploys across the Westinghouse organization and integration of new criteria into the integrated launch process.
  • Collaborate in the identification and integration of DFM criteria, analysis tools, and design approaches to integrate process quality and productivity into all product launch activities in the internal and external supply chain.
  • Coordinate Process Development (with suppliers and internal groups), drive innovation and application of suitable technologies.
  • Coordination of dedicated Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Quality resources to execute industrialization activities according to plan.
  • Ensuring process documentation/work instructions are suitable for the task and in place.
  • Drive the application of work processes and standards to ensure high production quality and process efficiency.

Requirements to be succesful in the role:

  • 10+ years of increasing responsibility
  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Demonstrated quality transformation experience in highly regulated industry
  • Technical leadership in Quality disciplines
  • Broad knowledge of quality technologies and other manufacturing experience
  • Business acumen, short term and long-term business understanding
  • Customer and regulatory experience
  • Supplier development
  • Process documentation/work instructions/industry spec development
