Basic Purpose:
The
MuleSoft Architect will be part of our Enterprise Architecture group. Considering
the significant growth goal, and the cornerstone of reaching this goal is
evolving to a digital-first organization and supporting the vision with
technologies that accelerate a shift towards aggressive growth. Quest is
engaging in a multi-phase digital transformation that will evolve our customer
engagement platform and allow us to support our goal of creating a
digital-first customer experience. This includes Data Platform, Salesforce,
MuleSoft, and Enterprise system integration. The ideal candidate will
devise clear roadmaps to innovation and is comfortable thinking strategically
and diving deep; a vanguard leader who can identify opportunities and leverage
the team to translate them into live solutions, to improve efficiency in
application support and optimize support run cost. This position is for our
Secaucus office
What
does success look like?
Enabling sustainable project and business change by developing and leading the integration technology plan
Bring together all components of integration strategy and governance including legacy and roadmaps to ensure delivery and support6 of business groups and projects.
Provision of expert technical advice and architectural oversight and governance of the API led strategy
Collaborate with the Delivery Lead and developers to attain business benefits particularly in speed and reuse and improved integration capability and delivery.
Actively participate as a member of the wider architecture community and governance groups

Duties & Responsibilities:
-MuleSoft API lifecycle
development and management.
-Develop Enterprise Strategy
around API led Microservice architecture using Mulesoft
-Design and develop a
Integration strategy and architecture utilizing the MuleSoft Platform.
-Evangelize, mentor, and coach
multiple teams to bring API product mindset and bring outside-in thinking
-Lead the team of API Engineers
to build the solution of API layer like security, custom analytics,
throttling, caching, logging, request and response modifications etc. for
API management platform.
-Establish a strong culture of security awareness and ownership to establish the DevSecOps practices within API Dev Lifecycle.
-Establish API Center of
Enablement (CoE) model to enable APIs on secure, easy to consume and
reusable self-serve API platform.
-Define and measure key
performance indicators to track and monitor API consumptions by App
developer and API product.
-Responsible for debugging
within a complex environment that includes multiple connected systems.
-Employ API led Microservices
design principles and standard methodologies.
-Develop strategy and approach
towards schedule jobs using Mule out of box tools or work with enterprise
tools.
-Responsible for operational
reporting, health monitoring of the application.
-Exception handling, reporting
failures, investigating, and putting long term fix in place to avoid bulk
failures.
-Responsible for setting up
alerts, infrastructure, and security.
-Ensure that the API based
architecture enables for best-in-class user experience and response time.
-Ensure the reusability of the
components built.
-Apply basic and OAuth used in
authentication protocols on every API service call from outside the network
and secure service account passwords using encryption mechanism with
different encrypted method.
-Transport, Database Connector,
AWS and Azure connector.
Education Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Work Experience:
-A minimum of 12 years’ experience in IT, including a minimum of 8 years in Design and Architecture or application and/or infrastructure, using leading methodologies and processes.
-Experience of working in large projects involving multiple parties including Project Managers and third-party vendors on high profile and technologically innovative enterprise solutions
-8+ years of experience working with the MuleSoft platform as a Developer and Architect
-MuleSoft developer and Integration Architect certification is a must
-Exposure to Service Oriented Architecture, design, development, implementation, and integration of enterprise-wide applications using MuleSoft Web Services (SOAP&REST)
-Experience with a wide variety of continuous integration and source control tools
-Proven track record of successful implementation of all project life cycle stages from requirements gathering through implementation and enhancements
-Experience working with data interchange and data management (i.e. ETL processes, database interaction)
-Experience with Connectors, Active MQ, and Secured Web Services preferred.
-Experience with designing API proxies and REST APIs using API Management platform.
-Knowledge of API security including OIDC and OAuth2.0 concept.
-Understand the fundamentals of DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline.
-Should have some understanding on network related components (e.g. firewall, load balancer, routing, VPC peering).
-Experience in building APIs for B2B, B2C product solutions.
-Minimum 5+ experience in API Product management space.
-Working experience in build tools like Maven, unit testing frameworks like Junit/TestNG Essential
-Good experience using Mulesoft suite of products and Mulesoft API implementation
-Experience with multiple different versions of Mule including and up to the latest version
-Solid grasp of SOA concepts, Web services, Micro Services and REST API
-Proficient in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
-Solid experience on agile software development
-Good hands-on experience using Mule connectors like Salesforce, File, Database, JMS, SMTP other connectors as a part of integration usage
-Strong knowledge and hands on
experience in Web development using HTML, JavaScript, XML
-Experience on Service Oriented
Architecture, Integration Patterns, JAVA, SOAP Web services, RESTful and
RAML
-Hands on experience in MuleSoft
features like DataWeave, API designer and various Connectors to ensure
robust and loosely coupled integration layer
-Salesforce MuleSoft integration
experience
-Good experience in using
Filters, Flow Control, Collection Splitters, Aggregators, Scatter-Gather
etc.
-Expertise in using Mule 4
components which include Salesforce, SMTP Transport, FTP/SFTP
-Ability to work collaboratively
in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution
ownership
-Should be a hands-on person who
could single handedly work and deliver with minimal guidance
-Should have experience in
managing offshore resources
-Healthcare domain experience,
Enterprise, Legacy application integration experience is a plus
-AWS and Azure service
integration, Real Time API Development and enhancements are a plus!
-Kafka, IBM MQ integration
experience or Knowledge is a must
Other:
Mulesoft Certifications will be
highly regarded; Certified Developer – Integration Professional, Certified
Developer – API Design Associate (RAML 1.0), Certified Platform Architect
Level 1, Certified Integration Architect – Level 1 is a plus
Formal qualification in
Enterprise Architecture (e.g. TOGAF) or Scaled Agile Framework is a plus
