The purpose of this position is to assist with the implementation of energy balance related behavioral interventions.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Research Study Coordination Assists with the coordination of clinical studies across multiple protocols and performs tasks including: reviewing electronic medical records to identify eligible study participants; recruiting and consenting study participants; obtaining medical release, if necessary; and data collection services (in person, by mail or telephone). Implements intervention according to protocol. Administers components of research studies, such as health coaching, qualitative interviews, and delivery of study materials. Assists supervisory staff with study oversight and coordination, including but not limited to coordinating study procedures, training new coordinating staff and trainees, and discussion of recruitment needs and strategies.

Data Collection and Follow-Up Ensures appropriate completion of questionnaires throughout the course of the study and maintain necessary documentation associated with participation in the study. Ensure all data entered appropriately. Conducts study assessments and interviews. Collects and codes qualitative data. Schedules baseline and follow up assessments with human subjects.

Data tracking Responsible for collection of data from participants and collaborating sites. Maintains contact with other institutions participating in studies and coordinates data collection and assists with development of outcome and tracking data management systems. Assists supervisory staff with study database maintenance. Assists with research documentation, preparation of all study materials and quality control procedures. Addresses non-compliance issues with staff members as needed.

EDUCATION:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Four years of related experience. With preferred degree, no experience required.
