The Director of Clinical Operations will have responsibility and decisional authority for running operations within the Office of the Chief Medical Officer within OBHS Care Delivery (OCMO-CD). The Director of Clinical Operations ensures the integrity of all work products within the OCMO-CD and is primarily responsible: strategic planning, workstream execution, ensuring alignment of efforts and reducing duplication, vendor management, infrastructure development, external communications, and staffing/HR issues and tasks. Additionally, the Director of Clinical Operations is the principal liaison on behalf of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) when he/she is not available for matters of importance and assumes responsibility as the point of contact, responding to requests, making decisions on behalf of the CMO, and leading and executing special projects on behalf of the CMO.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Executing a structured plan that implements and scales clinical services provided by all care delivery assets overseen by the OCMO-CD, including Refresh Mental Health, Genoa Telepsychiatry, and others
  • Directs and priorities day-to-day work efforts of all OCMO-CD clinical team members, including the medical directors, and ensures their efforts align with the work of other operations, project management, and DART teams across OBHS
  • Responsible for overseeing the work of the Medical Directors, ensuring that their efforts are aligned with the OCMO-CD strategic plan and are coordinated with each other
  • Responsible for timely delivery of all workstream products, including those workstreams led by the medical directors. Ensures OCMO-CD clinical team staff are meeting project milestones in a timely manner. Resolves or escalates risks as appropriate. Has decisional authority on operational issues which are escalated through the medical directors or other staff
  • Development of tracking and reporting capabilities across OBHS Care Delivery
  • Developing, maintaining, and serving as the primary point of contact for key internal and external business partners
  • Triages, coordinates, and responds to requests for care delivery services
  • Represents the business in select forums and meetings and provides substituted judgement on-behalf of the CMO as needed

Meeting Support

  • Prepares materials for the CMO in advance of his/her meeting including outreach to staff to gather relevant materials and synthesis of data dashboards
  • Organizes the weekly Medical Directors meeting and Clinical Team staff meeting
  • Organizes monthly leadership business review, JOCs and other key internal and external meetings to represent key initiatives and the overall priorities of the business
  • Acts as a principal proxy for the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Directors

Onboarding and Team Growth & Support

  • Serves as primary point of contact for HR related issues
  • Leads the onboarding and assimilation of new team members
  • Assigns projects and provides mentoring on new assignments as needed
  • Oversee MAP goal development
  • Directs the OBHS-CD clinical provider and patient NPS programs


  • Ensures the completion of the weekly reporting of clinical projects in the OBHS Dashboard
  • Provides training and oversight on systems to ensure accurate reporting across clinical project teams. Directs system improvement to match the team’s evolving reporting needs.
  • Manages relationship with marketing vendor (air traffic control and prioritization), holds primary ownership of the Communications Roadmap for the OCMO-CD, approves content drafted by clinical team members, and provides stewardship of communications materials through internal and external review processes

Knowledge Management

  • Manages the OCMO-CD Teams site, OneNote content library and other shared assets to support the OCMO-CD
  • Identifies core document library needs and develops baseline material to support clinical team implementation across projects


  • Drives development of clinical planning and strategy, ensuring alignment to business goals and priorities working with the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Directors
  • Develops and update strategic and clinical plans
  • Outlines, seeks, and ensures that additional Care Delivery resources are assigned to support successful execution (e.g., project management, operations, DART)

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed behavioral health professional (LPC, LCPC, LMSW, etc) currently licensed in one state and actively practicing and/or with 2+ years practice experience working in the primary care or other behavioral health setting
  • 7+ years of health industry experience and/or in a large complex matrixed organization experience
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership role (i.e. accountability for driving for financial, business cases, NPS and/or blue-chip goals)
  • 2+ years of portfolio/project management and/or operational experience (operations, product development, marketing, finance, sales, etc.) demonstrated history of managing significant and complex projects
  • 2+ years of experience at developing business presentations for executive-level audiences and developing messaging around business strategies
  • Experience in coordinating & facilitating important events such as strategy meetings, customer meetings, VIP visits - including agenda setting, deck creation, speaker prep
  • Experience handling highly confidential/sensitive information in a professional and discreet manner
  • Experience operating with high degree of flexibility, professionalism, and urgency
  • Demonstrated leadership and hands-on experience, ability to mentor talent and motivate others, provide work direction, attract and retain top talent
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel
  • Demonstrated business acumen in financial analysis, reporting and forecasting and solid understanding of operations
  • Marketing skills/background to understand how to communicate, position, and represent companies with external constituents
  • Advanced proficiency with presentation and PowerPoint skills
