Director Sales - Central Region - REMOTE

This individual is responsible for managing NxStage Area Managers and advancing the growth of home therapies in their specific regions. In addition, is responsible for developing best practices and strategies for the entire field team.


  • Collaborative work with the NxStage leadership team to:
    • Develop, launch, and rollout strategies and to grow home therapies
    • translate corporate strategies into regional sales and execution plans
  • Preparation of detailed annual regional product forecasts
  • Track and hold your team accountable for: training and therapy education, MD education, lobby days, RV tours, SMART start, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Develop relationships with other dialysis providers upper management and KOL.
  • Fully understand and demonstrate the clinical aspects, economics, and operations of home therapies.
  • Work with leadership to the develop incentive and compensation plans.
  • Collaborate with National Account Managers to develop tactics and strategies to grow the business with all providers.
  • Average 3 full days in the field per week working with Home Area Managers in their territory.
  • Prepare and present quarterly strategy and business reviews.
  • Organize and facilitate efficient meetings with customers and teammates.
  • Partner with clinical counterparts on growth and retention strategies.
  • Be proficient in all area manager job responsibilities.
  • Manage a T&E budget.
  • Expectation to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas.
  • This region for this position spans the central US geography from Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan down to Texas and Louisiana.

Responsible for the direct supervision of various levels of Sales staff.

Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred.


  • 10+ years of sales and/or sales management experience, with at least 5 years in the dialysis industry.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead cohesive and productive teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
