The Network Implementation Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas to support Network Strategy Implementations. Provides subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques. Makes presentations to management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results. Ensures projects are completed on time and in scope. A general job profile includes analyzing and investigating and providing explanations and interpretations within area of expertise. Primary Responsibilities:
In support of Network Strategy Implementations:

  • Lead or contribute to the development of program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g., Network Strategy Plan development)
  • Manage the Provider Network oversight for new business; Network adequacy for a new geographic region and network access
  • Coordinate with Provider Operations, Provider Relations, Network Contracting and Provider Network Administration on provider recruitment to support new business implementation
  • Develop, document and implement Provider communication plans, training, FAQs, QRGs and education
  • Work with Provider Relations and Network Contracting on Provider recruitment review; Supply Recruitment summary reports, Readiness Reviews and Executive Summary reports
  • Ensure that resources are acquired to meet project requirements, escalating for assistance where gaps exist
  • Ensure that project schedules include all tasks and activities necessary to achieve project objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional setting
  • 3+ years of project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Provider network contracting
  • Provider Relations
  • Provider Network Administration

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
