Reliant Medical Group is actively seeking applicants for our Medical Office Assistant Program. Our Medical Office Assistants are responsible for taking vital signs, rooming patients and administrative responsibilities in our clinical locations all over Central Massachusetts. The ideal applicant is highly motivated, has a great attitude and experience working in a healthcare setting as a Clinical Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant or similar. Selected applicants become a Reliant team member at the start of the program and will receive a competitive salary and other team member benefits. During the six-week training program, team members will learn the role and shadow at our locations. At the end of the program, they will interview with future managers and be offered a position in one of our locations across Central Massachusetts.

Hours: M-F 8:30AM - 5PM

Location: 100 N Parkway, Worcester MA & 5 Neponset St, Worcester MA

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Medical Assistants performs a variety of duties involving clinical and administrative patient care while adhering to the standards of the practice
  • Assists in the examination and treatment of geriatric patients by taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight, etc.
  • Performs various clerical functions as required. May include, but is not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, addressing, and mailing, receive, classify, and route mail, answer telephones, computer look-up (looking up names, numbers, etc.), ordering/maintaining supply inventory, small office projects, as required
  • Prepares treatment rooms
  • Performs a variety of clerical functions to support office functions
  • Performs related duties to facilitate the efficient utilization of computer-based information

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) or completed within 90 days of date of hire for positions in direct patient care areas
  • Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures
  • Knowledge of a variety of software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance.   • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description, may be substituted for the above requirements.

  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
