PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership for sales administration, pricing, and contract solutions. This leadership role has responsibility for ensuring sales and marketing has the budgets, forecasts, financial KPIs and reports, commission programs, pricing models, contracts support, and IT tools, among others, to achieve maximum revenue and the desired levels of profitable growth in the products businesses.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide management, leadership and vision to maximize product sales potential in a rapidly evolving US market
  • Lead the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies to meet the commercial financial objectives for Critical Care & Ventures in the US
  • Deeply understand, synthesize and efficiently communicate market conditions (e.g. needs of customers, competitor activities) to drive successful business activities
  • Lead customer segmentation and targeting and implement programs to drive success with direct, 3rd party service provider and distributor sales
  • Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to set the strategic direction and develop, execute, implement and communicate the overall product sales and marketing plan for the US
  • Define and implement goals, KPI's and compensation plans that align with the commercial financial objectives of Critical Care and Ventures
  • Develop team competencies to achieve a world-class sales and marketing culture
  • Drive the development and implantation of messaging and value-based campaigns across the sales team

Critical Deliverables:

  • Develop business proposals ands presentations, both written and oral, for use with t he executive leadership team
  • Represent the company at industry events
  • Partner with the Sales Operations team to create reports on key metrics to drive focus on winning activities
  • Develop needed sales tools and resources through a strong partnership with field sales, sales management, clinical education, Medical Affairs
  • Provide regular status updates on sales and marketing tactics and timelines to the leadership team
  • Relationships built through effective networking with key contacts outside own area of expertise
  • Contribute to overall alignment of all Value stream marketing plans to the goals of the business

EDUCATION:

Advanced degree in Business Administration

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of strong and successful management experience in similar positions
  • 5 years P&L experience
  • Experienced leader of an organization of 30+ employees
  • Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead cohesive and productive team
  • Proven track record in cross-functional collaboration with value stream counterparts
