Responsibilities

The RN Practice Coordinator of Ambulatory Nursing Administration reports to the Director of Ambulatory Care nursing and the CNO, Ambulatory Care. The Practice Coordinator will work independently and collaboratively with the clinic managers and clinical staff to promote quality care and ensure consistency in clinical practices as they relate to regulatory standards, UCLA Health Ambulatory policies and procedures. In collaboration with the clinical management team and other faculty practice group departments (where applicable), the practice coordinator will provide support and appropriate direction (within his/her scope) for patient care activities in accordance with organizational goals and objectives as directed. The Practice Coordinator ensures that patient care is provided in accordance with UCLA Health and UCLA Faculty policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

BSN Required, MSN Preferred Current valid CA RN License, requiredCurrent BLS from the ARC or AHA, required Minimum of 3 of years supervisory/management experience - Ambulatory Care experience Ability to be flexible with working hours given adequate notice and in alignment with job demandsAbility to travel to multiple clinicsKnowledge of computer software application including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)Previous demonstrated expertise in supervising nursing staffing, medical Assistants and LVNs Previous demonstrated expertise in competency and training of medical Assistants , LVNs and RN in ambulatory settings Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations and procedures to define objectives, identify pattern and formulate conclusions.Ability to creatively integrate competing demands of an outpatient setting into a productive working environmentSkill and experience in developing Quality Improvement and performance improvement process Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with patients, staff and physiciansAbility to adapt and implement frequently changing proceduresKnowledge and familiarity with the Electronic Health Records, (EPIC) preferred
