Under the supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer and faculty members, the incumbent will provide support and assist in the administrative and analytic services for clinical research studies conducted by the Department of Emergency Medicine faculty and residents. Major functions include but are not limited to, enrollment of patients and facilitating clinical trials, compilation of data from the patient record, data entry, preparation of regulatory documents, IRB submission, budget preparation, and preparation of documents for contracts and grants. You will also recruit, supervise and direct the UCLA student research volunteers. In addition, you will also analyze existing and proposed administrative organizational structures as well as develop policies and procedures.Qualifications


BS/BA Degree with completion of pre-medicine coursework.

Experience in emergency medicine environment.

Knowledge of clinical research operations, including interpretation and implementation of FDA regulations, ICH guidelines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed.

Demonstrated experience and knowledge of computer software: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

Ability to properly and completely document significant information to form a case study record of research events.

Ability to prepare and compose written draft reports of research studies and summary reports. Ability to recognize and use technical terminology.


Two to three years of prior research or healthcare-related academic work experience
