This Business Intelligence Specialist II position
provides advanced data and analytical support to UCLA Health System. The
responsibilities include the development and management of databases that
support efficient workflow and adhere to the specifications of regulatory
agencies. The incumbent provides data support to data-driven performance
improvement projects within UCLA Health system. The incumbent prepares
reports and Tableau dashboards, and presents findings to health system
leaders and teams. The incumbent also manages data-driven projects and
assists with the identification of critical issues and development of
solutions using the PDCA and Lean methodologies. The incumbent is required to
work effectively with minimum supervision as part of a team and work
productively with the department staff while assuring the maximum use of
technology to promote efficient work systems.



BS degree in statistics, Business, computer science, engineering,
or quantitative analysis related field or equivalent experience
Demonstrate proficiency in Tableau, SQL, Pytho, R, Excel,
Have experience in Data Analytics, Statistics, and Quality
Measures in healthcare
Have advanced analytical and quantitative analytical
Have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Have project management skills
Have a good understanding of the industry-specific issues,
regulatory requirements, and current healthcare reform
Must have the ability to work independently with minimum
supervision in a fast-paced and creative environment
Have the ability to prioritize work and remain detail
Have excellent oral and written communication skills

MBA or MS in quantitative analytical fields
2+ year experience in data management and data analysis
2+ year experience in healthcare industry
2+ year Tableau experience
1+ year Project management experience
