This is a comprehensive Sr. Accountant role supporting multiple entities that requires strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Revenue recognition. In this role, you will oversee general ledger, reconciliation, analytics, and audit related functions. You will collect, analyze, monitor, and report on financial and / or tax matters. You will manage and ensure compliance with accounting policies, professional standards and all financial reporting and tax regulations. You must be able to partner at various levels with internal and external stakeholders, provide accounting knowledge and guidance to support financial and / or tax related business decisions.
Understand and apply complex accounting and / or tax concepts and principles.
Responsible for accounting and / or tax processes including application of complex accounting and / or tax principles and regulations, auditing, identifying and communicating alternatives, records maintenance, and financial / tax compliance reporting (e.g., member agreements with multiple products and services, impact tax law changes).
Captures and records routine and non-routine financial and / or tax transactions that are more subjective and variable in nature (e.g., complex member agreements with multiple bundled products and services, non-routine ledger accounts, merger and acquisition, divestitures).
Prepares complex analyses, reports, and reconciliations to accurately capture accounting and / or tax transactions in financial statements and compliance reporting.
Proactively assesses financial and compliance needs
Identifies and addresses business needs and develops ad-hoc reports to influence business decisions
Independently maintains control of a diverse set of accounting and / or tax activities.
Provide recommendations and / or advice to internal and external stakeholders.
Review work product, guides and trains as needed.
Relevant degree in Accounting preferred.
5 or more years of accounting experience required.
Strong Excel skills required. Access and/or SQL desired.
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP), Workday preferred.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Strong attention to detail, problem solving abilities and excellent writing and interpersonal skills desired.
Highly organized, able to multitask with the ability to prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines and quickly adapt to change.
Estimated Hiring Range:$77,400.00 - $115,050.00
