The Role at a Glance:
This position plays an integral role in the pricing and implementation of new individual life products. The ADP participant in this role will contribute to the design, modeling, and rate development for new products. Through interaction with both distribution partners as well as risk management areas, the participant will help his or her team deliver products to the marketplace that meet corporate profitability standards and provide compelling value to policyholders.What you'll be doing:
- ALFA Modeling: Builds models to price new products and manipulates models to test various scenarios, sensitivities, and sales opportunities. Develops a thorough understanding of model assumptions, product mechanics, and reserving/financial regulations in order to validate each component of model output. Develops tools in order to facilitate rate development, loading of rates into ALFA, and analysis of profitability using ALFA output.
- Pricing Analysis and Presentation of Results: Coordinates with various areas of the company (risk management, experience studies, data metrics, information technology, competitive intelligence, etc.) to develop model assumptions and product specifications. Helps to develop and deliver presentations of pricing results to other actuarial areas.
- Process Improvement and Documentation: Builds and improves processes (Excel, VBA, ALFA) utilized in pricing and product rate creation. Clearly and consistently documents steps used in pricing process and results obtained.

Program participants receive up to 175 hours of company time to study per exam sitting.
