Our Global Skin Care R&D Center in Trumbull, Connecticut is looking for a consumer savvy scientist to join our Consumer Technical Insights (CTI) team to contribute to the success of our global and local brands. This is an exciting opportunity for a role designed to cover Sensory, Insights and Claims through a holistic approach and multiple touch points via consumer, claims and science skills.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Helping to create claims and relevant communicationsfor multiple brands in global and local markets, that will excite consumers.
Lead our consumer sensory panel in their weekly sessions for assessing prototypes; being responsible for preparation of samples; helping to capture data; and most importantly, is responsible for handling the day-to-day interactions with the panel.
Be an adept at looking for Insights. Using both consumer research and various tools to uncover the insights to guide new product development along with identifying market trends and opportunities.
Have interest and experience in digital tools and data analysis- modelling, big data, and artificial intelligence.

Who You Are and What You'll Do
Deliver Holistic Design thinking via consumer/sensory research and claims development.
Design Consumer/Sensory research and develop Claims and Demo support strategy
Lead and engage with our consumer panel in evaluating product sensories
Derive new insights coming from market trends analysis, e-commerce review and social commerce/ social media activities and them into insights and/or new product opportunities
Communicate insights within and outside R&D to ensure that these land into innovation projects and compelling claims.
Strengthen the relationship & engagement with external agencies : consumer market research agencies, Sensory panel agencies and academia Interpretation of scientific data and turn these into insights and/or product opportunities.
Work closely with Data Science and Digital R&D teams for data modelling and future initiatives
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Chemistry, Engineering, Biology Science or Psychology
2+ years of experience in CTI/Claims (Consumer research, Sensory, Claims and Communication Development) (including internship) strong preferred
Knowledge of Sensory Science, Consumer research, statistics/data modeling a plus
Claim support and demo creation techniques experience along with sensory & consumer testing techniques
Knowledge of digital tools & systems including Digital savviness on e-commerce/ social commerce
Excellent communication skills
