An individual to provide technical support for cosmetic raw material and finished product analysis and characterization through the design and utilization of analytical methods. They will have knowledge in general analytical techniques liketitration, IR, UV and physical characterization like viscosity measurements. They will have an awareness of instrument maintenance. The individual must have excellent communication skills, and the interpersonal skills to work within a fast-paced team environment that requires the ability to handle multiple demands. Background in analytical chemistry is desired.

The individual will support laboratory-based scientific investigations by carrying out routine technical tasks and experiments. They will work with laboratory equipment to analyze raw material and finished goods, and report on their findings, while adhering to all pertinent safety guidelines. In addition, they will maintain the instrumentation in good working order, ensuring that they are operating correctly. The individual will also maintain a clean, safe work environment and document data in a lab book and the LIMS adhering to the site quality system, generating LIMS reports where appropriate.


  • Candidate must have at minimum an associate degree in science ideally in chemistry or related physical/biological sciences.

  • The ideal candidate should also have one to two years of practical laboratory experience preferably in an industry setting such as analytical contract lab.

  • A basic knowledge in analytical tools like titration, IR, UV and viscometer or rheometer. In addition, a basic understanding and operation of chromatographic instruments is a plus.

  • Communication skills, electronic, oral, and written, are essential, as well as the ability to write technical reports using Microsoft applications.
