Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Global Project Management & Leadership Intern for the Summer 2022. This full time position works for approximately 37.5 hours per week. They will be accountable for:



  • Qualified candidate will play an essential role in the Project Coordination and Resource Management team’s effort to upgrade and redesign enterprise project management software (Planisware) within a global pharmaceutical organization.



  • Help to ensure the highest level of data quality as we migrate information critical to the management of our drug development projects (planning/scheduling inputs, resource and cost management data, visualizations including dashboards and reports) to an enhanced software platform.



Key accountabilities:



  • Assist in creation and maintenance of software development documentation (test result summaries, issue trackers, end user guidance, related process documentation)



  • Perform a variety of data migration and analysis tasks using MS Excel (may include use of vlookups, pivot tables, macros and other functionalities)



  • Ad-hoc data analysis as needed



  • Participate in user testing exercises by executing test scripts and documenting results



  • Support training development activities as needed. May include scheduling, preparation, and review of training materials.



  • Provide administrative support that may include scheduling virtual meetings across multiple timezones, creating meeting minutes and after-meeting action item reviews, maintaining various collaboration sites (MS Teams, Whiteboard, SharePoint, etc.)



  • Develop working knowledge of Planisware software



Additionally – Support the Strategic Initiatives Group with on-going projects including:



  • Data analysis and creating MS Power BI dashboards for visual presentation to study teams and senior management



  • Project management support inclusive of creating and managing project plans, risk, issue and action tracking, coordinating meetings and developing agendas, drafting meeting notes, developing PPT presentation material.

Education/Experience:




  • Qualified candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program with degrees focused in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or IT – Data Science Principles



  • Prior experience in project management or project management software such as MS Project is a plus.



  • Analytical thinker with an interest in enterprise software, specifically solutions enabling project management, resource planning, and scheduling



  • Adept data analysis skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel



  • Ability to effectively manage multiple project deliverables simultaneously, and communicate when competing priorities arise



  • Attention to detail with a focus on data quality



  • Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with global workforce



  • Comfortable in a hybrid work environment (ability to perform duties effectively whether virtual or on-site)
