Position Summary:

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a dynamic individual to join a motivated team of materials management and supply chain professionals. This individual is expected to efficiently manage a team supporting inventory and supply planning activities for site CAR-T program including, warehouse inventory levels, analysis of inventory demand and supply, establish reordering quantities, and analyze order fulfillment and inventory trends to support the inventory needs from the site. The Manager, CAR-T Site Materials Planning & Management will be responsible to develop a site strategy on materials lifecycle including target weeks of supply, materials ready-to-use and relocation and transfer of materials to other sites and 3PLs, and the enhancement of department Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and metrics. Leveraging state-of-the art cGMP facility, this position will make use of existing innovations and future technologies to support supply demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Joining a team of highly qualified materials management and supply chain professionals, this individual will lead the development and management of materials planning and management, demand capturing, storage, transportation, logistics, and strategies to maintain target inventory levels to support cell therapy product manufacturing and development.
  • Optimize summit site material supply chain and operations in partnership with other functional areas. Management and execute inventory model for raw materials, components, and reagents, ensuring that production demands are continuously met through periods of high growth and expansion.
  • Develop harmonized materials planning and management process by reviewing historical raw material trends and predict demand to maximize supply chain efficiency and aligns with department and company objectives. Accountable for managing and monitoring of material supply demand to assess capacity and ensure supply chain stability at the site.
  • Establish and track key metrics and performance indicators. Manage escalated risk and issues in frozen period and 36-month planning horizon in alignment with SD&OP process. Proactive manage inventory positions, projections, supplier delivery and capacity risk, and identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Develop and establish standard work measurement for all internal material activities that improve personnel planning and resource utilization. Proven record of developing and implementing a supply chain for rapid scale growth with high value and high-volume raw materials in a regulated environment.
  • Lead short and medium-term planning analysis to identify future supplier and storage requirement to support strategic objectives. Manage inventory commitments consistent with financial implications and reasonable business dynamics assisting with all finance inventory assessments for audits, monthly, quarterly, and yearly inventory reports.
  • Act as a source of knowledge in areas of supply chain best practices and methodologies. Work cohesively with cross-functional teams in support of operational efficiency, flexibility, and assurance of material availability. Lead and implement process improvements by maintaining open communication with all teams and fostering environment of cooperation in which to achieve shared goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applied science.
  • 6+ years relevant experience.
  • 3+ years’ relevant experience with materials management and/or supply planning within cGMP operations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude that is willing to assist other areas of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong focus and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform frequent physical tasks with strength and mobility. Daily tasks call for routine walking and standing and occasional lifting of heavy materials.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and main a strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible scheduling required.
  • Any equivalency combination of education, experience, and training may substitute.
