ROLE SUMMARY

The Digital Business Dedicated Group (BDG) Product Manager is a member of the Enterprise Platforms & Security (EP&S) Engage & Serve Agile Team responsible for execution of PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Center specific EP&S priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the products consumed by these Creation Centers.

In this role, you will have full EP&S accountability for the end-to-end customer experience for PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Centers, including the financial outcomes associated with the associated portfolios for EP&S.

You will deliver exceptional business outcomes for PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Centers through tailored, customer-centric products, client knowledgeable expertise, and continuous support and maintenance of required infrastructure elements.

You will maximize the value realized by your assigned Digital Creation Centers in the use of EP&S products and services through both efficient delivery of requested capabilities, and the proactive identification of opportunities to improve how existing capabilities are utilized.

You will forge strong relationships within the PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Center communities, and be seen as a trusted value partner who advocates for the priorities of the Creation Center mission while acting in the best interest of the Creation Centers to mitigate risks, decrease cycle time, increase system availability, reduce costs, and improve experiences.

You will drive alignment to strategic EP&S products and services, and influence the use of technology within your assigned Digital Creation Centers to maximize value. Where specialized capabilities are required, the you will lead a matrix product team within EP&S to define, develop, and ultimately enable the necessary product outcomes.

You must have a deep understanding of modern infrastructure and application platforms and be particularly adept at the translation of specific business outcomes into technology requirements. In this role, you will have an opportunity to be on forefront of Digital innovation!

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Business Dedicated Group (BDG), an Agile squad consisting of defined matrix relationships with various EP&S technology practice areas.

  • Assure that what EP&S delivers to the PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Centers achieves the desired portfolio objectives and is timely.

  • Deliver complete solution designs (fit for purpose, priced, timelines, risk management) for portfolio ideas that are then implementation ready for the PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Centers and EP&S upon approval.

  • Define success criteria for the PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital BDG inclusive of Objectives and Key Results (OKR) that clearly measure the value realized by both the Creation Centers and EP&S.

  • Forge strong partnerships with PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Centers and associated Client Partners and be recognized as a leader with a “seat at the table” to influence demand for EP&S products and services.

  • Define the customer engagement experience between EP&S and the PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Centers and lead improvement efforts to measurably increase customer satisfaction and improve outcomes.

  • Develop user stories for incoming PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Center demand, maintain a high-quality backlog, and prioritize activities based on both customer and internal EP&S inputs.

  • Anticipate Digital Creation Center needs through a deep understanding of the portfolio and position the team appropriately to respond.

  • Actively “seek out problems” both within the Digital Creation Centers, and within EP&S in the servicing of Creation Center capabilities and lead the development of associated user stories to resolve those problems.

  • Participate in quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning sessions for prioritizing the centralized EP&S backlog of work.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for increased Digital Creation Center value through risk mitigation, operational improvements, toil reduction, lifecycle management, cost optimization, decreased cycle time, and increased system availability.

  • Be fully accountable for the financial outcomes associated with the Digital Creation Center portfolio, inclusive of spend obligations, and committed savings objectives.

  • Act as a liaison for PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Centers and influence the development of EP&S products and services to ensure applicability and value.

  • Lead the product development for PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Center specific capabilities by utilizing matrix EP&S technology practice areas.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or technology discipline and 10+ years of related experience required.

  • 3+ years of experience serving in a customer facing or product management role.

  • Current or recent experience with the PGS, Finance, GBS and Enabling Functions Digital Creation Center portfolios is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a large, complex portfolio of work, inclusive of financial accountability.

  • Solid understanding of both traditional and agile development models as well as traditional and modern cloud-based application solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of enabling teamwork and delivering results in a matrix environment.

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to clearly articulate complex messages, tell a compelling story, collaborate effectively, develop and coach others, and influence key partners and stakeholders.

  • Executive presence and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or similar

  • Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
