With your deep knowledge of the discipline, you will regularly contribute at the therapeutic area level and can represent the department on multidisciplinary teams.

You will perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties during drug product development process. You will be using your scientific judgment to adapt standard methods and techniques by applying prior work experience. You will undertake mentoring activities to guide team members. It is your innovative scientific temperament that will help in making Pfizer ready to achieve new milestones and help patients across the globe.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Contribute at the therapeutic area level and may represent the group on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Influence at the therapeutic area or discipline level and increasingly at the project team level.
  • Participate in strategic planning in building out the capabilities and processes.
  • Prepare presentations to technical and non-technical associates alike for the purpose of updating experimental progress and persuading project direction.
  • Lead technical team to execute strategy and obtain relevant high quality data.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partner lines and colleagues and increase Pfizer's external reputation.
  • Participate in deep dive reviews of complex data with credible insights and flexible mindset.
  • Actively participate and lead the development, validation, and transfer of analytical test methods


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 12+ years of experience
  • Proven record of strong technical skills and scientific expertise in analytical method development and troubleshooting
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Experience with wide variety of analytical techniques and instrumentation
  • Understanding of critical quality attributes of drug products
  • Exemplary people skills and demonstrable leadership behaviors
  • Demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills

  • PhD and 4+ years of relevant experience, or MS and 9+ years of relevant experience
  • Direct experience working with Food and Drug Administration or other regulatory authorities
  • Advanced analytical experience (GC-MS, LC-MS, etc.)
  • Skills and knowledge utilizing analytical digital tools (method development software, etc.)


This position involves frequent work within an analytical testing lab, in the presence of chemicals, with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Occasional work within a potent compound analytical laboratory – using isolator or other safety technology.


As part of a global development organization, periodic meetings outside of standard working times are likely to occur.
